For the past 7 years, of my 25 year graphic design career, I’ve had the pleasure of working with awesome writers and authors like you. This is how I discovered that book cover design has become my passion.
I have never had a more pleasurable work life experience than I’ve had working with you! Maybe it’s because when one passion meets another passion awesome things happen. I believe that because of your passion, mine excels.
When a passionate person shares their excitement about their story and puts their trust in me, I find myself excited too! It motivates me to go the extra mile to make sure their expectations are met.
I recall a young woman who needed help with her very first written novel. She was excited. Her story was amazing. She couldn’t wait to get it out into print. She didn’t know where to begin with book cover design. She had struggled through the formatting and the editing process of her manuscript. She was pretty exhausted by this point. A feeling we’ve all felt, I’m sure.
She came to me with many questions that I couldn’t answer outright. I told her I would check into these issues, because I needed to know the answers too. I told her I would get back with her soon. We worked together for weeks on the design of her book cover. She was delighted with each proof that I sent her. Together we came up with a beautiful final book cover!
She was very appreciative of my work and spoke highly of me to others. She kept me updated on the progress of her book. It ended up getting a book cover award of high standards in her genre. She has gone on to write several books that have added to her initial series. She has now authored more books beyond her first series. She has always called on me to help her with book cover design for each story.
I am very grateful to be a part of her success.
We both are passionate about our talents. We worked, shared, learned together, and came up with awesome results. We are friends to this day. Our friendship will always remain because we have a passion!

YOU ARE THE REASON for my passion of book cover design.
My graphic design career started out as a sign designer, creating highway and larger freeway sized billboards. I quickly moved through a few advertising agencies. In 2004 I started building and designing yellow page advertising for phone directory companies nationwide in the United States and throughout Canada. In so doing, I was able to work with large and small companies alike. This gave me a lot of experience, not only in the graphic design field, but also in the publishing field, where I learned the importance of design specifications regarding each individual book publisher.
In 2006 I was given the opportunity to design book covers for many of these phone directory companies. I found this to be very rewarding, as it allowed me to be more creative in my design work. In the interim, book cover design became my main interest. I was honored to receive several outstanding awards for my cover design work.
In 2010 I found myself out of a day job due to the decline in yellow page directories and the economy.
Lucky for me, I had a small freelance business that I could fall back on. I also headed back to college to become proficient in digital web design and can now extend my digital design experience to my dedicated clients to offer online digital services as well.
In the past 7 years I have honed in on book cover design. I have totally enjoyed working with self published writers and Indie authors worldwide. My goal is to create beautiful book covers that meet specific needs and design book covers that sell well for authors and writers.
And with that… my destiny and desires bring me here online to further my passion to help others with their book cover design needs.
It's A Wrap Designs is a one person show at the moment, but I do offer some extended digital services, like website and social media banners and advertising. I am associated with awesome professional writers who are available to offer formatting and editing of books.
