But life has a funny way of making you question what you think you want. When she discovers a neglected Arabian horse in a paddock near her flat, her passion for horses is rekindled, and she dreams of riding once again. Her colleague, Simon, offers her a lift to work, and what starts out as a relationship of convenience has some surprising consequences.
When the beautiful Arabian horse disappears, Livy embarks on a journey to find him and, in the process, begins to rediscover what she truly wants out of life.
Jenny Roman is crazy about horses and writing - so what better way to get her fix of both than by writing equestrian fiction?
Her first short story appeared in PONY magazine way back when she was 17. Since then, she's had both fiction and non-fiction published in all kinds of magazines, online, and in anthologies. More recently, she's written two collections of equestrian themed short stories (one for adults and one for children) before moving on to her novel Clear to the Last.
She writes the kind of books she would like to read and aims to create the same joy in her books for grown-ups as she felt when reading pony books as a kid.
Clear to the Last is the first book in a trilogy. Look out for book 2 in 2024.

Jenny lives in Shropshire in the UK and is now lucky enough to have a gorgeous half-Arab, half-Appaloosa horse of her own - a horse she could only have dreamt of when she was a child.
